Deadlines

Preregistration - September 15, 2009
Submission of abstracts (please email abstracts, using the abstract form available at this link, as a text file in the body of [NOT as an attachment to] your email) - September 15, 2009
Acceptance of presentations (based on submitted abstracts) and sending out invitations for the CwU workshop - September 30, 2009
Final registration - October 31, 2009
Early registration fee - October 15, 2009
Submission of final versions of full papers - March 31, 2010

The opening and closing of the CwU workshop are planned for Monday, December 14th at 9:00, and Wednesday, December 16th at 16:30, respectively.

Basic organizational assumptions

In order to meet the aims of the workshop and due to logistical constraints, the number of participants of the workshop has to be limited. This will provide all participants with good opportunities for presenting their own work, for learning from the experience of colleagues working in related research areas, and for establishing new contacts. The schedule of the workshop will provide ample time for discussions and interactions.

The prospective participants are invited to propose a 15-20 minute presentation. One-page abstracts of the proposed contributions are the primary criterion for selection of the participants. Publication of the CwU'2007 proceedings composed of selected papers by Springer is considered, and will be decided by September 30, 2009.

Organizational details

Abstracts and papers:

Abstracts of accepted presentations will be available on the Web in October 2009.
Authors of selected abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper. Selection of the papers will be done shortly after the workshop, and the submission deadline will be decided during the workshop. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed, and accepted papers will be published in by Springer in the LNEMS series. Only papers prepared in LaTeX will be considered for publications. The publication is expected in beginning of 2011. Papers not accepted to these proceedings will not be published by the CwU'09 organizers.

Support for participants

Thanks to the funds provided by the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics we can offer a moderate support for a small number of participants, especially young researchers, from the weak-currency countries.

All workshop participants are welcome to use (free of charge) the workshop bus.
All workshop participants are cordially invited to the workshop dinner, which will be held on Monday evening (starting at about 18:00)
(place to be decided).
All participants are also invited for self-service lunches at IIASA's restaurant during all three workshop days.
