Deadlines

Preregistration - September 30, 2007
Submission of abstracts (please email abstracts, using the abstract form available at this link, as a text file in the body of [NOT as an attachment to] your email) - September 30, 2007
Acceptance of presentations (based on submitted abstracts) and sending out invitations for the CwU workshop - September 30, 2007
Final registration - October 31, 2007
Early registration fee - October 15, 2007 (due to several late preregistrations this deadline has been extended to November 10, 2007).
Submission of final versions of full papers - March 31, 2008

The opening and closing of the CwU workshop are planned for Monday, December 10th at 9:00, and Wednesday, December 12th at 16:30, respectively.

Basic organizational assumptions

In order to meet the aims of the workshop and due to logistical constraints, the number of participants of the workshop has to be limited. This will provide all participants with good opportunities for presenting their own work, for learning from the experience of colleagues working in related research areas, and for establishing new contacts. The schedule of the workshop will provide ample time for discussions and interactions.

The prospective participants are invited to propose a 15-20 minute presentation. One-page abstracts of the proposed contributions are the primary criterion for selection of the participants. Proceedings of the CwU'2007 composed of selected papers will be published by Springer.

Organizational details

Abstracts and papers:

Abstracts of accepted presentations will be available on the Web in September 2007.
Authors of selected abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper. Only papers prepared in LaTeX will be considered for publications. Selection of the papers will be done on the basis of drafts of full papers to be submitted by November 15, 2007. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed, and accepted papers will be published by Springer. The publication is expected in beginning of 2009. Papers not accepted to these proceedings will not be published by the CwU'07 organizers.

Registration fee

The registration fee is € 240 (reduced to € 190 for early registration, which applies to payments made by October 15, 2007), and covers:

lunches in IIASA's cafeteria from Dec 10 until Dec 12,
Heuriger dinner on Dec 10,
refreshments during coffee breaks,
scheduled bus transportation between the workshop hotel in Vienna and IIASA,
a copy of abstracts.

Please consult the accommodation information well in advance.
All workshop participants are welcome to use (free of charge) the workshop bus.
All workshop participants are cordially invited to the workshop dinner, which will be held on Monday evening (starting at about 18:00) at the GalloRosso restaurant in Laxenburg.
All participants are also invited for self-service lunches at IIASA's restaurant during all three workshop days.
