Anonymous ftp to and from IIASA

The following information is relevant for ftp'ying files for/from the IME Project staff. Other persons/projects at IIASA have similar arrangements.

Accessing the IIASA ftp server

Please do note, that the ftp directories (both incoming and outgoing) are temporary space automatically cleaned from time to time. Therefore it is essential to download files from this space and store them in a more permanent place.

Incoming files

The incoming file(s) should be placed into the directory: /incoming/ime
Please make there a new subdirectory (preferably named after your family name) and place your files(s) in the new subdirectory. Email me a message after you will ftp anything for me.

Outgoing files

I will copy outgoing files to a subdirectory created in the directory: /outgoing/ime
You will got an e-mail message from me with the name of the subdirectory, when I will place a file for you there.
